Hoaglin Fine Catering

Hoaglin's food is WONDERFUL! It was definitely quality food but if you are looking for a caterer who can communicate timely, looks professional, and their servers know what they are doing. Don't use them. As much as I enjoyed their food their service is so horrible I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

The food, was great, even when it was served cold. I did not get to enjoy it until I was sitting in the hotel room after our wedding. We worked with Laurel for about a year and a half before the wedding at Laurel Hall and had a few problems along the way with her not responding to our questions. Once she failed to show up to our appointment at the venue and next time came unprepared. We should have known. She had told us that she would be our "go to" person for the whole event so we filled her in on the schedule and behind the scenes activities. The day of the wedding I was given an "assistant" from Hoaglin to get me down the aisle and did not see Laurel until the end of the event. We were running an hour and 15 minutes behind schedule by the time we were ready to eat, so about 20 guests left. When we, (the BRIDE AND GROOM) finally got up to eat, there was NO food! We ate the appetizers! While the guests raved about the food I did not personally get to try it until we were settling in for the honeymoon at our hotel. What a shame. The D.J., my mother, and several of my bridesmaids were quite stressed out the whole evening trying to get things on track but could never find Laurel. They just had to "go with it,". Not wanting to stress me out, I did not find out any of this until we got home from the honeymoon. If I had known, I would have personally walked in the kitchen (where she was found time after time, "supervising") grabbed her arm and kicked her out. As it was, I was pretty peeved that we asked for leftovers to be bagged in tupperware (which was lost) and was told that Hoaglins did such a great job estimating food there weren't really any leftovers. Strange, as 20 people left without eating, that there wasn't any extra food. We also lost quite a few decorations when things were being taken down for the evening. It took me a month to track them down (everyone said they had been thrown out) but no, Laurel had them in a box at Hoaglins. While my wedding was the best day of my life, the fact that we missed quite a few things that evening because we were so off schedule and that the Bride and Groom didn't get to enjoy the food really puts a damper on some of our memories. If you chose Hoaglin's, do NOT let Laurel be your coordinator and STAY ON TOP of them, or you will regret it.

The quality of the food we served was extremely important to us. Hoaglin was amazing at working with us to create a unique menu, not just some cookie cutter menu already put together. We worked with Susan who allowed us to sample the food numerous times before we got it just right. If you are looking for the food to be memorable and delicious, go with Hoaglin!

Seriously, the BEST caterers in Indianapolis. Ridiculously good food! :)
