Over the course of a 16 month engagement, my husband and I got to know Stephanie and the staff at the Hawthorns very well. Stephanie is the type of person that makes you feel like you've known her for years. She hugs you when she see's you and always signs her name with a smiley face. The Hawthorns is a gorgeous facility situated at the center of a beautiful golf course with a professional and talented staff. They are masters of event 'flow.' Under Stephanie's direction, our ceremony and reception went as smoothly as a bride and groom could ever dream of. The staff followed every direction given and never missed a beat. The food is excellent - our guests are still raving about it! The staff at the Hawthorns are easy to work with, welcoming, positive and flexible. Stephanie Rice was a joy to work with, and I couldn't have imagined having my wedding anywhere else. The day of the wedding was flawless, and I heard nothing but wonderful compliments from my guests about how courteous the staff was and how delicious the food was. I felt so at ease knowing that everything was taken care of, and I didn't have to worry about a thing on my wedding day -- that is truly priceless.

The Hawthorns Golf & Country Club and Stephanie Rice exceeded our expectations. Everything about our reception was perfect! From the planning process to the actual day, everything was handled with professionalism and the attention to detail was remarkable. The Hawthorns Golf & Country Club is such a beautiful facility for hosting weddings and receptions and we definitely recommend it. We have received so many compliments on the food and service and how beautiful everything was. The ballroom looked amazing and they made sure that all of our details were carried out. Stephanie and the staff at the Hawthorns Golf & Country Club truly helped make our dream a reality and we appreciate everything they did for us.

I could not have been happier with our choice to have our wedding ceremony and reception at The Hawthorns. As other reviewers have noted, the value for what you receive at The Hawthorns is wonderful, and the setting is absolutely beautiful. From the moment we met Stephanie Rice - the catering sales manager - we knew the wedding would be perfect. Because Stephanie was so professional and detail-oriented, we didn't have to worry about a thing. And, we are still getting compliments on the food - several "foodies" noted that it was the best steak they've ever had!
The service was top-notch, and I couldn't have asked for more from The Hawthorns. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone!

The Hawthorns did a fabulous job with my daughter's wedding. The reception was so much fun because I had no worries the whole night. Stephanie and our DJ worked together to make sure we had nothing to do but show up. We have received many compliments about the location, food, how nice the servers and bartenders were, and just overall how nice and fun it was.

Stephanie Rice, the Catering Sales Manager, was absolutely amazing to work with. She had so many wonderful ideas and was eager to help us make our wedding day special and memorable. She was involved from beginning to end and we wouldn't have changed a thing about our reception at the Hawthorns. We had an absolutely wonderful time, as did all of our guests. I would recommend this venue to everyone!

All of the staff at the Hawthorns Country Club was so nice and they made sure that the reception ran flawlessly. I was surprised when I brought all of my favors, table decorations, etc over the day before the wedding expecting to set everything up myself and Stephanie told me to simply leave it on a table and they would take care of everything for me. They truly went above and beyond! The venue is also absolutely gorgeous and everyone told me the food was delicious. I would recommend the Hawthorns to any bride!

The Hawthorns Golf and Country Club was the best venue. After being to many weddings over the past 5 years, it turned out to be the best venue we've ever been to or experienced! In our opinion, it was the most beautiful (both in and out) and yet it was very affordable when compared to others. The staff was SUPERB! The food's taste and presentation was amazing. Everything we asked for was provided with a smile. The staff was always in the right place, at the right time, and willing to help out without smothering any of us. A special thanks to Joseph for being our server. However, I would have to say without a doubt the best part of the Hawthorns was our event coordinator, Stephanie Rice. She was always helpful! She gave great suggestions yet she always kept our wishes in mind. She made the day stress free by knowing exactly what we wanted. Not only was it a business partnership coordinating the wedding but it became a friendship. I would highly recommend this venue to any bride and groom!

We couldn't have been happier with our wedding and reception! The Hawthorns Golf and Country Club is a stunning venue and the food, staff and service are all fantastic. The facilities to get ready in are incredible and there are amazing places to take photos.
After looking at a number of other Indianapolis venues, I couldn't believe the value of the Hawthorns. The venue is gorgeous and the staff is genuinely helpful - high quality at a very reasonable price. I'd do everything with them again in a heartbeat! Our day was absolutely unforgettable and I thank the Hawthorns for being so detail-oriented and helping us make the day more perfect than we could have ever imagined.

The Hawthorns staff was exceptional. Steven and Stephanie really took an interest in our reception and helped with many decisions along the way. They worked closely with us to keep our reception in budget.
The facility is beautiful and the wait staff was friendly and efficient the night of the ceremony.
I would definitely host another event at the Hawthorns.

Everything was beautiful! They are a bit pricy due to being a private country club but they really work with you. I cannot believe we were able to afford a place like that but we did! We didn't have to do a thing but decorate, they took care of it all.

The venue was gorgeous, food was amazing. The only negative we had was we had a pile up in the bar area with lots of people waiting for a drink. They started to get a little irritated. The staff was great to work with...very flexible. Stephanie steered us to some fantastic vendors (DJ and cake person) that we ended up using.
