Touma's Bridal

I am a hair stylist and i do a lot of wedding hair and i hear horror stories from brides about EVERY bridal salon in fort wayne, so i have heard it all (literally) and although all of the bad reviews and comments i have heard about toumas, i NEVER once had a problem with this bridal salon. When i went in to try on wedding dresses, they put all their attention on me..i had at least 3 employees helping me find the dress for me! They are very generous and helpful. I was neverous at firts to order my dress from here but had no problems. My dress came EARLY & nothing wrong with it. They gave me a free bridal bag (other bridal salons make you pay for the nicer bags) and made me feel very good about my purchase. I didnt get alterations from here so i dont know about the alterations department. I dont know why there are so many bad reviews because the owners are VERY nice and even donate dresses to younge women who cannot afford prom/wedding dresses. This bridal salon is great and i wouldnt say a bad thing about this salon. Their selection is amazing and very beautiful. This was the first salon i went to and i found my dress after the 4th dress i tried on! :) I DO NOT REGRET GETTING MY DRESS FROM TOUMAS! GREAT EXPERIENCE!

I decided on a Casablanca gown and called all over the state to find the best deal. I didn't have tons of time so many stores were going to require me to pay a rush fee. Touma's was the best deal and they didn't charge a rush. The dress arrived before it was promised and it fit exactly as it should. I only needed a hem and bustle. Great shop, worth the drive from Indy.

The dress was beautiful, but in came in later than they said it would and were evasive when I called in with questions. A little scary, but it worked out in the end.

AMAZING, AMAZING, AMAZING.... THAT IS ALL I CAN SAY!!!! They were so good and help through out the whole wedding.

HORRIBLE customer service (after you have purchased)! Unprofessional...said they did not care about their Better Business Bureau rating..which is an F. Never in my life have I ever been treated so rudely. NEVER again will I step into that store again...if it lasts.

I bought my wedding gown at Toumas. I wish that I had gone home and ordered it online, because the computer would have given me better customer service than this place. The saleslady was helpful when I picked out my dress. It was marked around $900, but it was 10% off for some reason (Yeah!) but then it was @$100 for the larger size, another $100 for shipping, and then another almost $100 to "Rush" the dress. (Boo!) The dress ended up coming in 2 months late - about a month before my wedding. When I went to pick it up, it was hanging out on a rack by the register, with my order sheet hanging out for all to see. Really, this vendor is my only regret in all of my planning.

We ordered the bridal gown, bridesmaid dresses, and flower girl dress from Toumas only to find that they would loose our order, everything would come in late, charge us for alterations that they swore we wouldn't need, write down measurements wrong so that dresses came in completely wrong sizes. It was beyond frusterating, we ended up picking dresses up and taking them to other shops for alterations. We had to overnight ship (at our own expense the flower girl dress since they lost the order and it was over two months late. To top it off, Toumas was rude to not only the bridesmaids, the mother in law, mother, MOH, but also the bride. I would not recommend Toumas to anyone, unless you want added stress to your wedding planning.

Loved my dress...came in when they said it would about 8 months from the order time. Bridesmaids were a bit pricey, but got a discount because I got my dress and accessories there. Gave me and my party free storage til my wedding day. And My bridal consultant was just wonderful and paid attention to every detail...even put a tiara, jewelry and veil on me when other shops I'd been to had not and then allowed us to take pictures and even posed me for a few scrapbook shots! Only one thing...Weekends are hectic, and there aren't enough salespeople to go round...I recommend making an appointment during the week to try on dresses...and make time for it because it can take up to 3 hours if you're looking at more than just wedding gowns like I did, LOL!

First of all I have to start off by saying that I absolutly LOVED my dress. However I ordered a dress that I really liked from Toumas and they told me it would be there in about a month. 3 months later my dress still was not there and they did not have a good reason. They FINALLY admitted to me 6 months after I ordered the dress that it had been discontinued and would not be comming and since it had been so long I could not have a refund, instead I was asked to chose another dress. I was upset about this but I did choose another dress and I ordered and it finally came but it too was not there when they originally promised that it would be. I also purchased my crinoline and shoes from there and when I went to try my dress on and pick everything up I decided to try it on and my "new" crinoline that I had ordered and paid for had makeup streaked down the inside of it because other people had been trying it on. So I had to get them to replace it with an actually new one. Also my flower girl dress was not there when it was promised and that was only a few weeks before the wedding and then they expected me to pay extra to have it shipped quickly which I refused to do because they had promised it would be there. I urge you to really shop around before you purchase from this vendor I had nothing but stress when dealing with them.

I was able to get my dress from a sales rack, and it was gorgeous and very resonably priced! However, there was a small spot on the dress that I was told would be cleaned. The first time I went in they said they would clean it. They did...sort of. I had to ask them do it again, but they were very polite and professional, and everything turned out gorgeous!

My wedding dress was wonderful but 2 of my bridesmaids dresses were not made right and she did not fix them with alterations. On the day before my wedding my mother went to pick up my things and came home without my veil...they did not have all my things together. My husband had to make an extra trip before our rehearsal to go get it. It is very unorganized and unprofessional. I am in a wedding this Saturday and just got my bridesmaid dress today...yes 4 days before the wedding, becuase they "lost it in shipping." Throughout the whole process the bride's mother was repeatedly given the run around and they would not return her phone calls. Very unprofessional and no organization whatsoever.

I bought my dress and ALL attendants dresses at this vendor. My Maggie Sottero dress was beautiful on the hanger. I asked to get it bustled, and it was done completely wrong. At my wedding, my bustle broke 5 minutes after it was up. The entire bottom of my dress was ruined from people stepping on it. The prices for alterations were rediculous for the quality. The overlay had to be tacked down when it was altered, that also ripped out because it was done with only a few stitches. My dress was well made at the beginning, but anything they touched ripped within minutes. I was very disappointed in their work. They have a great selection of dresses, but don't let them suck you in.

The first day of my experience with Touma's was fantastic. They were very kind and helpful as I tried on wedding gowns. Following visits were not nearly as friendly, but not rude. I kind of felt after the dress was purchased the service level dropped a bit. They do have a good selection of dresses and definitely one of the best bridal salons in the area to visit.

These people were really on the ball, and listened to what we wanted and didn't push their own opinions or the opinions of those in the industry that like to dictate what the masses do. Very knowledgeable and helpful and worked in a timely manner.

Pushy staff, dirty gowns. They have nice selection of high priced dresses, but they are all falling apart. They do offer discounts on some of the gowns. Also, they stored my gown until the wedding.

They were only interested in the sale of the dress. Once we had paid on the dress, they were no longer interested in our business. Even while I was getting final alterations on my dress, they were more interested in another girl trying on a prom dress. As well, the owner complained about having to redo the alterations on my dress because they had not been done correctly the first time. They mis-ordered my bridesmaids dresses and when they did come in, one of them had a spot on it. My friend looked at bridal dresses there, and when she asked for the dress number to order from another shop, they deliberately gave her the wrong number twice. I would never recommend them to anyone.

Our tuxedos were really messed up. One of the groomsmen was not given his vest, one was given the wrong size pants, one was given the wrong color vest.
